Western Turkic Khaganate (On-Ok)
The Western Turkic Khaganate was a khaganate in central Asia between 581-742 CE. Another name for it was “On-Ok”, or “Ten Arrows”. It arose after the breaking of the First Turkic Khaganate. In 712, the Second Turkic Khaganate conquered the Western Turks and absorbed its tribes.
The Turgesh people were part of the Western Turkic Khaganate, but won independence in 699 CE, establishing the Turgesh Khaganate.
