Dactylic hexameter
Dactylic hexameter, also known as heroic meter, is a rhythmic meter frequently used in epic poems in Latin and Ancient Greek, like the Aeneid. In classical times, this meter was defined by the length of syllables. But in medieval times, some writers decided to use accent instead of syllable length.
